BELLEAU + CHURCHILL
Artist duo Belleau + Churchill met in graduate school at the Rhode Island School of Design in 2013. Feeling constrained by the academic structure of departments, majors and media, they began to collaborate. Their small, whimsical early pieces soon become a definitive, singular practice. Interdisciplinary and research-based, the two create immersive exhibitions focused on myth and legend. Their first project, Fantasia Colorado, was met with critical sucess during Art Basel Miami Beach as they exhibited at SATELLITE Art Fair.
Raina Belleau received her BFA from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and her MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design. Caleb Churchill received his MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design, an MA Littform the University of St. Andrews (Scotland) in art history and a BFA from the Glasgow School of Art (Scotland).
